International Club Young Leaders

The International Club Young Leaders program fosters academic growth, individual empowerment, community building, healthy living, and college and career readiness for middle and high school students.

Supporting children in the areas of English, literacy, math, technology, leadership and personal development, refugee youth thrive in these programs. Facilitated by volunteers under the guidance of Catholic Charities staff, International Club Young Leaders programs aim to improve English language skills, academic confidence and esteem in children.

Current International Programs are held virtually at the present time and include:
* International Club After-school for middle school students
* Learning Partners Peer Tutoring
* Computer Literacy
* Computer Wizard Crew
* Girl Power!
* World of Wellness
* Mentor Match
* Future Pathways Academy College & Career Readiness

Special Programs:
* Spring and Summer Camps

Integrated into all aspects of the International Club programs are activities that honor the cultures and languages of attendees. All programs are informed by participants and are guided by members of the International Youth Advisory Council.

We are grateful for the support from Albuquerque Public Schools Office of Equity and Engagement, Van Buren Middle School and Del Norte High School. Partnerships with student volunteer groups from Albuquerque Academy and Bosque School enrich these programs as does the support of all volunteers invested in contributing to the lives of these students.
