​NM State Journey Worker Roofer Certificate

Catholic Charities collaborates in the program developed by the New Mexico Roofing Contractors Association (NMRCA).

Member Benefits:


1. Recent success: Changing the Public Works (DFS) definition of Roofer to more closely match reality.

2. A 2 year Apprenticeship program: Currently, 18 apprentices participate in a two year program. Graduates, receive a NM State Journey Worker Roofer Certificate

3. NMRCA is an Affiliated associate partnership with the National Roofing Contractors Association (NRCA) providing reduced membership rates for NMRCA Members, and broader educational opportunities.

4. NMRCA through Catholic Charities makes ESL and GED Classes available, and enriches the NMRCA Apprenticeship curriculum.

5. NMRCA members participate in community engagement work that garners local, regional and national attention; annual donating to local organizations such as Lucky Paws, The Children’s Grief Center, PB&J Family Services, and Albuquerque Rescue Mission. Additionally, an annual Scholarship Endowment was created over the past couple of years for roofing family members at New Mexico Highlands University the Alma Mater of many NMRCA Members.

​6. Educational, Crime Prevention, and safety seminars provide relevant and vital industry instruction.

7. Included listing and links to your company’s website on the NMRCA website at www.nmrca.com. Consumers can access the membership list online for contact information.

8. “Roofers’ Pitch” newsletter provides the latest local and national industry news, trends and vital information about doing business in New Mexico.

9. Networking opportunities to share valuable information with others in your industry.

10. Annual Ron May Golf Classic which supports our charity work.

11. Advertisement opportunities in the newsletter and on our website.


12. Sponsorship opportunities available for events, newsletters and on our website.
