Welcome to the Generations at West Mesa Project!

Welcome to Generations at West Mesa, a 54-unit multigenerational community that provides affordable housing for seniors and grandparents raising their grandchildren in Albuquerque, N.M. Our community was developed by Gorman & Co. and Catholic Charities to address the housing needs of households that are often overlooked.
At Generations at West Mesa, we recognize that grandparents are often the primary caregivers for their grandchildren. Our community provides 45 affordable apartments to residents earning no more than 30%, 50%, and 60% of the area median income, and nine market-rate units to create a mixed-income development that is aimed at housing seniors. Eleven units are covered by Section 8 project-based vouchers.
We have incorporated universal design principles throughout the property to ensure maximum accessibility and visibility for residents and visitors. Our community is designed to meet the unique needs of seniors and youths, bringing together design elements and services for both generations.

The approximately $12 million financing for the Generations at West Mesa project includes 9% low-income housing tax credits and the National Housing Trust Fund. This financing has allowed us to create a community that is affordable, accessible, and provides a high quality of life for our residents.
If you are a senior or grandparent raising your grandchildren in Albuquerque and are in need of affordable housing options, we invite you to contact us today to learn more about Generations at West Mesa and how we can help you achieve your housing goals.
