Why donate a vehicle?
  • Your donation will help our efforts to serve vulnerable individuals and families in our community.
  • Avoid the hassle of selling your vehicle; having to place an ad, field phone calls, and show your car.
  • If you vehicle does not run, we will still pick it up free of charge.
  • Free up space in your garage or your driveway!
  • Your donation will qualify you for an IRS tax deduction.

WHAT TYPES OF VEHICLES DOES CATHOLIC CHARITIES ACCEPT?
We accept cars, trucks, motorcycles and scooters, whether or not they are currently running. We also accept many boats, RV's and campers.

Cars and trucks WITH TITLE: 
Must be complete or mostly complete, must have both a legible dash VIN plate # and Nader plate #.

Cars and trucks, WITHOUT TITLE:
Cars and trucks, running or not without titles must be complete, or mostly complete. Must have both a legible dash VIN # plate, and Nader plate #. Donor must sign an “Abandoned Vehicle Release Form" and or a “Limited Power of Attorney” at time of pickup and have a photo ID.


For RV's, Motorhomes, Campers:
The vehicle must be 25 years old or less, must run and drive, must be complete and in usable condition and must have title.


For Boats:
Boats must be complete, 25 years old or less, running and in usable condition and be mounted on a road-worthy trailer. Both boat and trailer must have a title.

For Motorcycles, ATV's, Scooters, etc.:

Must be complete, have VIN # in (2) locations. Running or not, with or without title.
where can vehicles be picked up from?
Vehicles can be picked up from most of the following areas:
  •  Albuquerque
  •  Rio Rancho
  •  As far north as Los Alamos
  •  As far south as Belen
  •  As far east as Clines Corners
  •  As far west as Laguna

    Please contact Gina (505-724-4674) to make sure the vehicle can be picked up from your location!
what is the impact of the funds raised?
The funds raised by your vehicle donation help to provide safety, refuge and hope for the 12,500 individuals and families served by Catholic Charities programs in central New Mexico.
