  • Equity: Fairness and justice in policy, practice and opportunity consciously designed to address the distinct challenges of non-dominant social groups, with an eye to equitable outcomes.
  • Privilege: Advantages and benefits systemically accorded, often by default, to a person or group. Privilege is best understood intersectionally because colorism, documentation status, economic class and education, for example, can all accord distinct privilege within racial and ethnic groups.

- Equidad: equidad y justicia en las políticas, prácticas y oportunidades conscientemente diseñadas para abordar los distintos desafíos de los grupos sociales no dominantes, con la vista puesta a obtener resultados equitativos.
- Privilegio: ventajas y beneficios que se otorgan sistemáticamente, a menudo de forma predeterminada, a una persona o grupo. El privilegio se entiende mejor de manera interseccionalmente porque el colorismo, el estado de la documentación, la clase económica y la educación, por ejemplo, pueden otorgar distintos privilegios dentro de los grupos raciales y étnicos.
